History Class: Islam in the Americas. Hidden Histories, Living Faith.

This month of July, the Nana Asmau Project partners with the One Ummah Center to make the history of Islam in the Americas accessible to the public in Metro Atlanta .

Through a 4 session series, we will explore the history of African Muslims in the Americas and their resilience to practice Islam despite being enslaved. This 1 month-series is free and One Ummah offers dinner at all the participants. We start the class at 7:30 pm and ends at Maghrib prayer time. We meet on Thursdays but the last session will be on a Wednesday.
